YOUNG EUROPEANS, OPEN YOUR EYES!
"Young Europeans, open your eyes!" is a Training Course co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme that was held in Madrid from 16 to 21 august 2017.
It gathered a total of 28 youth workers who collaborate or work with several organisations from Jordan, Turkey, Tunisia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Croatia, Romania and Spain.
The idea of the project, written and directed by the Ngo Adefis Juventud Internacional, arised from the need to alleviate the serious wave of extremist attacks and behaviors that have been taking place in recent years throughout Europe, related to religious radicalism. Many are carried out by young extremists, educated in democratic societies but with descent from the Mediterranean Area.
The main goals of the activity are prevention of attitudes and behaviour connected to the religious fanaticism among young Europeans, the exchange and development of good practices, the encouragement to use reason and objectivity in every situation, the promotion of peace, harmony and respect between different cultures. The activities were fundamental for the dissemination of thoughts and democratic behaviours among all young Europeans.
