“(i)Migrantion + action = Global Reaction”
05-11th of May 2018
STUDY VISIT IN BERLIN - GERMANY
“(i)Migration + action = global reaction” will play a strong role in supporting organizations in development
of their capacities in work with (i)migrants. All world is affected by migration, and especially young people,
who are one of the most mobile groups and the ones who determine how the future world will look like.
For this it’s important that youth workers would be aware of the causes, opportunities and consequences of
(i)migration and could support both – young emigrants by creating opportunities and providing support for
their empowerment and employability. Youth unemployment forces young people to move out of their country,
and in new country they often face problems in getting jobs as they are (i)mmigrants. They lack support in
their country of origin and country of destination. The project will develop the capacities of youth workers
of participating organizations from Kenya, Dominican Republic and Indonesia. We train organizations so they
are able to continue their mission in training other organization and developing the work with migrants.
This work must be with a double focus. There are different triggers and causes, push and pull factors for
migration which affects everyday life on incoming and outgoing immigrants which is important to be realized and dialed with.
We focus on 2 main issues – the immigration related issues in connection to refugee crisis, trigger factors,
legislative for migrants, sharing know how on work with migrants and second – emigration and youth unemployment, training participating organizations in developing possibilities for employability.
The project will offer a strong know-how of the main problems, possible solutions, and best practices around
Europe. The development of intellectual outputs such as guide and mobile application “MigrantsHelpDesk” will
offer not only support to organizations working with migration, but also the beneficiary will be (i)migrants.
Activity plan
„The idea is to have a Study visit in Berlin Germany, where we will be able to see what the German reality
is and what institutions and organizations doing there and get the best examples of work on this topic. The
partners will be able to see methods and techniques used by institutions that are dealing with this problem
in Berlin and work on networking for future activities.
The Germany is the Europe top destination for migrants and we will be able to see NGOs, state institutions,
shelter houses, research institutions etc.
