European Voluntary Service

Starting from 2014, the European Voluntary Service is included in Erasmus Plus, a new European Union program combining all existing European mobility modalities (Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundvitg ...) .

In particular, the European Voluntary Service program is part of non-formal learning initiatives and seeks to promote European mobility through volunteer periods of between 2 and 12 months in some European Union country, the European Economic Area and Turkey, candidate country of accession to the EU.

The EVS is aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 30 to undertake voluntary work in another NGO or association in the fields of culture, youth, cultural heritage, art, sport, development cooperation, etc. This is not a period of internships, paid work or a foreign language course, but a commitment of the volunteer to provide their services for the common good in another country.
